50 Eminent Personalities to Be Honored with ‘Shiromani Samman’ by Mudda TV for Contributions in Art, Culture, and Social Service

Dehradun- Mudda TV, which has established a strong identity in impartial journalism in Uttarakhand over the past five years, is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. On this occasion, the Uttarakhand Shiromani Samman ceremony will be held on June 22, 2025, at 4 PM at the Municipal Corporation Auditorium in Dehradun. During this grand event, 50 distinguished individuals from various fields—art, literature, education, journalism, social service, music, politics, sports, culture, etc.—will be honored for their remarkable contributions to Uttarakhand.
Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Ex-BJP State President Tirath Singh Rawat will be the Chief Guest at the event. Special guests will include Justice Rajesh Tandon, former judge of the Uttarakhand High Court; Saurabh Thapliyal, Mayor of Dehradun; Khajan Das, MLA from Rajpur Road; and Savita Kapoor, MLA from Dehradun Cantt. The ceremony will be chaired by former Cabinet Minister and Chakrata MLA Pritam Singh.

Devendra Prasad, founder and editor-in-chief of Mudda TV, shared that over the past five years, Mudda TV has consistently highlighted Uttarakhand’s social, environmental, political, and cultural issues. He stated that this year, the platform will honor 50 individuals whose work, vision, and dedication are shaping society and strengthening Uttarakhand’s identity at both national and international levels.

- Sheetal Raj, mountaineer awarded by the President of India
- Sonal Verma, Bharatanatyam guru
- Popular folk singers Inder Arya, Saurabh Maithani, Sunny Dayal, and Atar Shah
- Tanya Singh, Miss Uttarakhand
- Sanskriti Bhatt, actress active in Bollywood
- Farmer leader and social activist Surendra Sharma
- Manju Tamta, who brought international recognition to Uttarakhand’s traditional Pichhauda attire
- Dwarka Prasad Semwal, known as the Waterman of Uttarakhand
- Dileep Sindhi, organizer of Miss Uttarakhand contest
- Singer Sunil Thapa, who has sung for T-Series
- Kusumlata Borai, founder of Pahadpan Foundation
- Sanjay and Sushma Bahuguna, who promote self-employment through plastic recycling
- Students Aditi Pathri and Aman Dobal, who promote Uttarakhandi culture at Delhi University through Matribhoomi Parivar
- Young author Ankit Bhatt
- Sanjay Tomar, BJP Yuva Morcha District President from Pashchim Doon
- Senior social worker Pandit Jayanath Sharma
